...a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
by Jesse Lee Carrigan
In the very near future, a two hundred million man army is going to cross the seventeen-hundred-mile-long Euphrates River headed for Jerusalem, hell bent on the total destruction of Israel. The river flows from the mountains of southwest Turkey through Iraq and Syria, emptying into the Persian Gulf. When the army crosses the river, they will go across on dry land as did Moses and the Hebrews as they crossed the Red Sea when leaving Egypt after their captivity and enslavement.

Scripture tells us that will happen. The Euphrates will dry-up, having already begun to do so, and will be completely dry when the invasion from the east begins.
And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. Rev. 16:12
The vast army, the largest in the history of the world, will come from China, India, Pakistan, Russia and other countries that are east of Jerusalem. The army's mission is to completely destroy Israel and its people from the face of the earth. However, it is they, all of them, that will be killed by the returning Messiah and his army of angels in what is described as the 'battle of Armageddon.'

The phrase 'battle of Armageddon' does not appear in all the scriptures, and the word Armageddon only appears one time. Yet, it is perhaps the most known word in our bible throughout the world. You will find it in Revelation 16:16.

The Book of Revelation was written by John, the last surviving disciple of Jesus the Messiah. Well into his nineties, he was shackled and chained about the ankle in a cave on the Island of Patmos in the Aegean Sea when the angel from God woke him up.
As old men can do, they ponder and wonder about their lives and how they lived it. Why they are alive, while others throughout their lives have died, at much younger ages. No doubt that John would have wondered why he was still alive while all the others, his friends, fellow disciples, and the Messiah himself were all killed, martyred, with the exception of Judas.
Then one night, an angel sent by God himself, appeared to him in his cave, summoned him to heaven in a vision (he did not go there physically, only in a vision) and gave him the history of the future of the world. At that very moment, no doubt John's eyes and mind were opened, finally realizing why he had been spared, why he was alive.

He had been spared to write the most important book in the bible, a book that gives us the history of the future. A book that is specifically written and designed for the servants of God to be understood only at the end of days, things which must shortly come to pass. Mark well this point, only true servants are privy to understand the revelation.

'a measure of wheat for a penny'
by Jesse Lee Carrigan
She stands there with a look of bewilderment in her eyes and on her face. Perhaps she is ten, maybe eleven or twelve, but obviously a young girl. Only the sculptor would know what he was feeling when he created the statue, "The Wheat Girl," and could only imagine her thoughts.

Nearly one hundred years ago, she was a real person, in the Ukraine, clutching five sheaves of wheat, protecting them, holding them close to her breast as if they were a beloved lost kitten that had been found. Perhaps she is pondering does her family eat today, or does she save them until tomorrow, a dilemma only those who have faced such decisions can understand.
She and her family were starving, literally to death. Worse yet, it was intentional and man-made, by a mad man, Joseph Stalin and it occurred in 1931-32, and before it was over, in just two years, three and one-half million souls would die. Men, women and children living in the Ukraine, being invaded and controlled by Russia.

Worldwide food shortages are here, millions worldwide are very hungry and starving to death. The third horse, the black horse of the apocalypse, represents famine, and sadly the fourth horse, the pale horse is symbolic of pestilences, caused by famine, that will take the lives of innumerable millions just prior to the beginning of the Great Tribulation.

Not yet! Jerusalem will be surrounded by armies and destroyed.

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Luke 21:20

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
